The 27-year-old joins the Giallorosse on a free transfer following the expiration of her contract with Spanish side UD Tenerife in May.

Babajide was a standout performer in her final season in Liga F, notching 10 goals and 5 assists across 26 league appearances — form that undoubtedly caught the attention of the reigning Italian champions.

She will don the No. 30 jersey as she becomes the second Nigerian at the club, linking up with rising defensive talent Shukurat Oladipo, who has already cemented her place in the squad.

Babajide’s signing not only adds firepower to Roma’s frontline but also injects a wealth of experience. The versatile attacker previously plied her trade in England with clubs such as Crystal Palace, Watford, Millwall Lionesses, Liverpool, and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Though she once represented England at the youth level, Babajide now wears the green and white of Nigeria with pride, having switched her international allegiance.

Her addition will be vital for AS Roma as they look to build on recent domestic success and make a deeper push in Europe.
