Benin Republic Premier League outfit, ASVO FC, have parted ways with their Nigerian head coach, Fatai Osho, after a disappointing start to the 2025/2026 campaign.
The former Enyimba International tactician was shown the exit door after managing just one point from a possible 12, with the club languishing at the bottom of the table (D1, L3).

ASVO’s management confirmed the decision late Friday night, citing the need for a “fresh technical direction” to salvage their faltering season. The poor run of results reportedly sparked frustration among fans and stakeholders, prompting swift action from the club’s hierarchy.
Osho, known for his attacking brand of football during his time with Enyimba and Remo Stars, joined ASVO earlier this year with high expectations. However, his side struggled to find consistency, conceding late goals and failing to convert chances in crucial fixtures.
Despite the setback, the 49-year-old remains one of the most respected Nigerian coaches on the West African circuit, and his next move will be closely watched. Sources close to the coach suggest he may return to Nigeria to explore opportunities in the NPFL or abroad.
