The 2019 edition of Asoju-oba table tennis championship ended on Friday night with lots of fun and pageantry.
This year edition had 365 participants and increase of 55 from last year edition , the five days game served off on Monday 25th November 2019 .
The closing ceremony kicked off with the cadet boys single where Ligali Iyanuoluwa see off Segun Odushile in three straight set 11-5 , 11-4 and 11-7 to win the category.
During the intervals prizes were presented to various winners in other junior categories in both male and female.
In one of the main events for the day , Bose Odusanya defended her last year title as she defeated Ajuwon Anu in four straight set 12-10, 11-4, 11-8 and 12-10 to win the women’s singles final for the fifth time in a row .
The men’s single final was full of intrigue and excitement as the Faleye also lose his crown to Ahmed , the game of seven saw Faleye miraculously turned round the game from three set down to win the title and defended his crown in a game that made the fans to be at the edge of their seats , it ended 11-6, 11-9, 11-5 , 10-12, 5-11, 6-11 and 8-11
The number one and two Lagos state tennis player gave the fans something to cheer about and hold on to till the next edition .
