Chairman of the marketing committee of Nigeria Archery Federation, Ambassador Augustine Chigbolu has appealed for support from corporate bodies, entrepreneurs and philanthropists to support its sponsorship drive towards the African contest.
Sports247 reports that the committee is saddled with the task of ensuring a hitch-free and successful outing for Nigeria at the 2026 African Archery Championship scheduled to hold in Oran, Algeria from July 21st to July 26th.
He noted that the committee, which also includes Olatayo Oladipo, Hauwa Pindar, Abdulbasit Sanni, Abduljalal Mohammed, Chidinma Blessing Chukwu and the secretary, Emmanuel Oyeleke, is tasked with gaining funds for Nigeria’s outing.
Chigbolu also noted that the committee’s primary responsibility is to mobilise sponsorship and marketing efforts aimed at ensuring adequate preparation and successful participation of Nigerian archers at the championship.
He called on corporate organisations and private institutions to play a vital role in boosting the morale, training and international exposure of the country’s archers ahead of the platform for Nigeria to showcase its growing strength in archery.
