Sports247 reports that the latest philosophical angle to various responses trailing the fatal accident that Joshua survived on December 29th, 2025 has come from IBF super-welterweight contender, Josh Kelly.

While commiserating afresh with the ‘senior boxer,’ Kelly disclosed that Joshua’s survival, while two of his closest friends died in the same accident, has given him a new thought about boxing and the vanity of life in general.

Kelly, who previously spent time training alongside Joshua at Britain’s Sheffield base, added that hearing about the accident changed his attitude towards fights and eased pressure on him ahead of his world title bout with Bakhram Murtazaliev.

The former Team GB amateur fighter told Matchroom Boxing: “Even if you do lose, you haven’t really lost anyway. If you look at Anthony Joshua’s crash the other day.

“You see how one day you could be just living life normally and the next can be snuffed out. We’re thinking tomorrow’s promised, but it’s never really promised. Win, lose or draw, it’s not the end of the world.”
