Anthony Joshua Poised To Spoil Film Maker’s $5m Bet On Victory For Jake Paul

Should Nigerian-born former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua win next week Friday’s fight with Jake Paul, he will spoil a $5m bet that has been staked by a film maker on victory for the social media star.

Sports247 reports that Joshua is set to tango the American online content influencer on December 19th in Miami, USA but, while many boxing buffs all across the world are tipping him to win, a famous film director thinks otherwise.

Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua will now have to prove his mettle, after the film maker, John Peters, who was part of creating the first Batman movie, put $5m on Paul to achieve a major upset.

Paul has already been informed about the bet and the former YouTuber quickly called to assure that he will not disappoint Peters, who will receive a lucrative payday in excess of $35m if Joshua loses.

On the other hand, Joshua’s promoter, Frank Hearn declared emphatically that his client will win, because he knows the former two-time world champ is taking the fight very seriously.

Although Joshua has been forced to shed his weight, in order to meet a specific limit for the first time in his career, Hearn insists his fighter is primed to win the celebrity spangled fight.

Hearn told talkSPORT Breakfast: “He’s really dialled in as if he was fighting an elite heavyweight. The one thing he always does is take everything seriously and he is doing so for this, he’s in tremendous shape.

“The difference is in this fight is he has to make a specific weight which is a lot lighter than he would be going into this fight.”
