Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon has missed the opportunity of having former Chelsea of England battler, N’Golo Kante as his new teammate at Paris FC of France, Sports247 gathered.
In contrast with initial expectations that Simon would follow John Mikel Obi as the next Nigerian player to enjoy the action-packed style of Kante, the French star opted not to join the modest Ligue 1 club.

This was revealed by the president of Simon’s club, Antoine Arnault, who admitted he was unable to prise the midfield enforcer away from his present base in Saudi Arabia.
Simon’s club came close to luring the former World Cup winner away from Al-Ittihad to Paris last summer, when the Eagles’ ace joined them, after the ambitious club’s promotion winning campaign.
Arnault told L’Equipe: “It’s a shame he didn’t come; I was disappointed about that. I think he also wanted to move, but his club didn’t allow it.
“We respect the decision, but it’s a real shame: having N’Golo on the team would have created a significant momentum and perhaps allowed us to gain five more points in the standings.”
Sports247 adds that Simon might now hope that his club will make a better bid in the coming year for the dark-skinned stocky midfielder, known for his mobility, marking ability and balance on the ball.
