Anthony Joshua Calls Out Deontay Wilder To ‘Man Up’ And Fight Him As His Offer Remains Unchanged… Debunks Ducking Him

Anthony Joshua has reignited his rivalry with Deontay Wilder by telling the Bronze Bomber he’s ready to fight him when ‘he’s man enough not to lie’.

The unified champion was on a collision course with Wilder last year – then the WBC champion – but a deal never materialized with the American and his team pointing the finger at Joshua for ‘ducking’ the fight.

And Joshua found himself caught in the eye of a storm when his rival Tyson Fury and Wilder made a deal without any complications under his nose.

However, Wilder recently undermined his claims that Joshua shied away from the fight after admitting that their offer was more lucrative than the one he got to face Fury, who would go on to strip him of his title in their February rematch.

Joshua, who defends his WBA, WBO, and IBF world heavyweight titles against Kubrat Pulev on Saturday night, has insisted he still wants to fight Wilder despite Fury holding his WBC belt.

“He [Wilder] is another challenger. The offer still stands when he’s ready and he’s man enough to not lie, be real,” Joshua told the Off The Cuff show on DAZN.

“It wasn’t nice when they were trying to tarnish my name. It’ll be good to get [him to] stop [the] PR stunts and get a fight underway.”

Wilder is currently in the legal process of enforcing a rematch with Fury after their trilogy fight was abandoned due to a failure to agree on a date and the Brit’s team believing his rematch clause had expired.

Should Joshua emerge victorious on the weekend and Fury win his legal battle against Wilder, the stage will be set for the two heavyweights to meet in a fight for the undisputed crown?

If a judge agrees with Wilder’s claims that he has a contractual right to a third fight with Fury, then Joshua will likely move forward with a mandatory defence against WBO’s No 1 ranked fighter Oleksandr Usyk.
