The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye, has congratulated Sporting Lagos FC on their promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), describing the achievement as a major boost for Nigerian football and a proud moment for Lagos State.

Reacting to the development, Adeboye praised the club’s resilience, structure, and commitment to excellence, noting that their rise reflects the growing strength of club football in Nigeria.

The presidential aide, who is also the Founder of SmartCity FC, a team competing in the Nigeria National League (NNL), emphasized that such achievements are a testament to the competitive nature of the league and the importance of consistency.
“The NNL is not an easy league. To earn promotion to the NPFL requires discipline, consistency, and strong management. Sporting Lagos has shown all these qualities.”
Adeboye commended the players, coaching crew, management, and supporters for their collective effort in securing promotion.
