The honourable representing the people of Oyi constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Innocent Ojike Ojicam was on Sunday bestowed with an award for his lauditious contributions in grassroot development of football in Anambra state.
The award which was presented to him during the official kickoff of 2023 Anambra state All Star games held at the Awka township stadium. The occasion was graced by the Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr Onyedika Ibezim , the Speaker of Anambra state House of Assembly and other dignitaries who are happy with the great work done by Anambra state football federation lead Mr Chikelue Iloenyosi .
Hon Innocent Ojike while receiving his award stated that this will definitely motivate him to do more than he has done in his word ” I want to thank the Anambra State Football Association for finding me worthy to be acknowledged, this award will spur me to do more than I have done going forward, I thank God and dedicate this award to my people of Oyi constituency whom I am serving “.
In the opening match that was played, a late goal handed Awka Elite All Stars a one zero win over Okpoko All Stars .
