Aminu Tambuwal Donates 32 Seater Coastal Bus To Handball Federation of Nigeria

    The Sokoto State Governor Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal has donated a 32-seater bus to the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN).

    In a short ceremony held at MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, the governor represented by the state’s commissioner of youth and sports development Comrade Bashiru Gorau, handed over the brand new bus to the HFN in fulfillment of the pledge he made during the National Division One Championship in Sokoto earlier in the year

    Governor Tambuwal disclosed that Sokoto state is interested in hosting the 2021 edition of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League as part of the government’s desire for the state to be the hub of handball in Nigeria.

    To this end, he further revealed that Sokoto State is on the verge of completing a state of the art world class indoor sports hall.

    Governor Tambuwal thanked Prudent Energy and Services Limited for sponsoring the league and making handball thrive again.

    Receiving the bus, HFN president Mr. Samuel Ocheho alongside other board members and other stakeholders, thanked Governor Tambuwal, for all the support given to the federation.

    He noted that the governor made the pledge to donate the bus when he committed to continue to host the National Division One Championship for the next three years.

    He also assured the governor that the HFN will continue to do everything to grow handball in Nigeria with the support of Sokoto State, other states in the federation and corporate organisations.
