Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper and club captain Aliko Mustapha is optimistic that the team will be a team to beat in the new season.
Aliko who just recently renewed his contract with his home town club for another season, declared in a chat with his team’s media department.
“The team could be the next team to beat, because the coaching department headed by Bernard Ogbe has done a lot of work with the team.”
“We narrowly missed the final of the second edition of Ahlan cup in Kano to Wikki Tourists in the semi-final, it shows that the team have a long way to go in the coming season.”
“I cannot wait for the new season to kick off, it is the joy of everyone to show his skills on the pitch,” he concluded.
Niger Tornadoes will travel to Enugu to face Rangers International of Enugu in the first match of the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
