Nigerian sprinter Alaba Akintola lit up the track at the Meeting Ciudad de Malaga in Spain with a blistering performance, clocking a new Personal Best (PB) of 20.23s (0.1) to win the men’s 200m final on Thursday night.

The 2022 Commonwealth Games finalist delivered a stunning race that saw him erase his previous best from two years ago, asserting himself as the fastest Nigerian man over the 200m distance in 2025 so far.
