Speaking on the situation, Akpan described the period as a difficult one for any professional goalkeeper, urging fans and the media to show patience and understanding as Nwabali navigates the transition.
“This is not an easy moment for any player, especially a goalkeeper,” Akpan said. “The details surrounding the exit are still unclear, and that is why Nigerians should support Stanley with prayers, patience and encouragement.”
Akpan stressed that being without a club, particularly with transfer windows closed in some regions, can be challenging, but expressed confidence that Nwabali’s quality and experience will see him land on his feet.
“What he needs now is support, not pressure,” he added. “Stanley has given his best for club and country, and I believe he will come out stronger from this phase.”
Nwabali remains an important figure in the Super Eagles setup, and Akpan’s call reflects growing sentiment that unity and backing from supporters will be crucial as the goalkeeper prepares for the next chapter of his career.
