Nigerian midfielder Akinremi Samod has completed a move to Slovenian second division outfit, ND Beltinci FC, as the club looks to bolster its squad ahead of the new season.
The promising talent, a graduate of Agbana Wonderful Football Academy, was officially unveiled by the club earlier this week.
Akinremi Samod brings energy and determination to a Beltinci side that finished 9th in the Slovenian Second League (SNL) last season and is aiming for a significant improvement.
In his first words as a Beltinci player, the excited midfielder expressed his desire to help the club secure promotion to the topflight.
“I am highly excited to join ND Beltinci FC,” Samod said. “It is a dream come true, and I will help my new side to get promoted to Slovenian top flight division.”
The 21-year-old is expected to add creativity and drive in midfield, attributes the club hopes will spark a turnaround in their fortunes this season.
ND Beltinci will open their 2025/26 campaign next week with a clash against NK Grosuplje. All eyes will be on Samod as he aims to make a strong debut and signal his intent for the season ahead.
With renewed ambition and fresh talent, ND Beltinci FC will be hoping Samod’s arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter—one that ends with promotion to the Slovenian PrvaLiga.
