A youngster in the squad of Royalty Athletic Football Academy of Ojodu-Berger, Lagos, Ahmed Idris has disclosed that he is inspired by the skills of Bayern Munich of Germany star Jamal Musiala.
However, while acknowledging that Musiala’s performances always excite him, Idris added in a chat with Sports247 that he wants to shine brighter than the Nigerian-born German international midfielder.
Idris added that he is already working hard towards developing himself to become a playmaker and thanked his first coach, Ridwan Adeyemi for taking him from Sango-Otta in Ogun State to join Royalty Athletic.
He is now developing further under Coach Tega Owonka at Royalty Athletic, where he believes he can get the much-desired breakthrough that would help him follow in the footsteps of Musiala to global stardom.
Idris revealed, “I love the way Musiala plays with a lot of skills, creativity, and no pressure. I love the way he plays, but I want to be greater than him.
“I also want to play for Chelsea in the future, and I am happy that my coach is teaching me well at my club. I was living in Ekiti before I joined them early this year, and I’m really enjoying the team.”
Sports247 also reports that Idris recently dazzled during the 5th Seamoriow U15 League Championship at Ikotun, Lagos, where he emerged as man of the match in one of the group games, although his team could not make it into the next round.
