Speaking about the unfortunate development, Aghahowa states, “He has been with the players, he has been with the team for quite some time now and so it would have been nice to have him together with the rest of the players for the AFCON, but fortunately injury is part of football.”

Aghahowa recognizes the challenges that injuries can pose in the sport but believes in the team’s ability to manage and adapt.

He adds, “So if it comes like this, if it’s something they can manage, I think they would have, but if it’s a serious injury I think it’s better he goes and treats it properly so that he will be fit for the club games.”

While disappointed about Boniface’s absence, Aghahowa remains optimistic about the Super Eagles’ capabilities and resilience.

In the unpredictable world of football, dealing with setbacks, including injuries, is an integral aspect of the game.

As the team readies itself for the AFCON, fans and analysts will keenly observe how the squad navigates and adjusts to the challenges presented by the absence of key players due to injuries.
