Super Eagles’ coach, Eric Sekou Chelle has declared that he and his players are fully focused on Monday’s match against Mozambique, because they want to win it and reach the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals.
Sports247 reports that Chelle admitted there is a lot of pressure on everyone in the Eagles’ camp, as they know how important the game is to the country, but quickly added that they are thinking only of victory.

The former coach of Mali’s national team and MC Oran FC of Algeria added that all his players are determined to start the game in Fes, Morocco, and conceded that he is facing a huge dilemma in choosing his starting line-up.
Chelle pointed out that he will make the selections to the best of his knowledge and based on what he sees of each player during training, adding that anyone of them who is selected for the game will justify being there.
“Game after game, we want to be ambitious. We want to win the next game. If God gives us the chance to go to the quarterfinals, we will think about it.
“For now, we think about this game against Mozambique and, for sure, we want to win this game,” Chelle reiterated firmly.
