Sports247 reports that Osimhen is bound to lead the Eagles’ attack against The Taifa Stars, who are also determined to start AFCON 2025 on a winning note, but the Nigerian hitman revealed that he and his pals are primed for victory.

He added that all hands are on deck in the Eagles’ squad, with the coaches also playing their part, and the players are eager to soar high.

“With the help of my teammates, I will do the best myself. The coach has also been doing an amazing job since the camp opened.

“We’ve been having high spirits in training, and it has been really intense. So, I think we are ready to fly,” Osimhen declared.

He added that one major factor spurring the squad to seek victory in each of their games at AFCON 2025 is the memory of their inability to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, and their determination to make up for it with a good outing in Morocco.

“For us, last month was really disappointing, and it was not how we thought it would be. But, it has happened, and life has to go on.

“Of course, we’ve moved on, but the memory still lingers. So, we want to use this opportunity to send a clear message out there that we still have it in us,” Osimhen affirmed.

The former star of Ultimate Strikers FC of Lagos, VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, Racing Charleroi of Belgium, Lille Metropole of France and SSC Napoli of Italy concluded with a verdict that the Eagles are fully focused on emerging as Africa’s new champions next month.

“I believe so much in this squad, the coach, staff and everyone associated with the team. For us, it’s about going to war, starting with the first game on Tuesday.

“We’ll give it everything, and we are not underrating any team in our group. So, we are going to give our all to make sure we actualize this dream of winning the AFCON title.

“It’s not going to be an easy task, and we have a very long way to go, but I am positive about this team. I’m very hopeful about winning this one,” Osimhen enthused.
