Sports247 reports that, although Morocco are hosts of the ongoing continental showpiece, Prince Adeyinka is of a view that the Super Eagles’ current top form will see through during the game in Rabat.
Adeyinka declared with affirmation, “With what we’ve seen so far in our national team at this tournament, they will win this match on Wednesday. I am assuring Nigerians that, with dedication and loyalty from the players, we will win.”
The president’s SSA acknowledged that many factors will bank against the Super Eagles during the game, especially a partisan crowd and likely questionable officiating to favour the hosts, but he reiterated that Eric Chelle’s side will win.
Adeyinka applauded Chelle for blending his squad with previously uncapped players and pointed out that the gaffer’s strategies are working well, all of which he said are making President Tinubu happy.
He added, “I am sure that, upon all the odds, even as we will play against 13 men … eleven players, their supporters and the referee … we’re going to win that match conveniently.
“As the SSA on grassroots sports development to Mr President, I am sure we will win this match. So far, so good. The coach has done a good job, and I commend him for inviting young players for this AFCON.
“He knows what he’s doing, and his approach is working. We all know that the president has passion for this game, and he will reward them if they do well.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through his New Hope Agenda, has made the whole world know that he has a passion for football and sports in general.
“I once again assure Nigerians that we should all continue to believe in him. What he’s doing will make Nigerian sports go higher, especially football.”
Adeyinka concluded by reaffirming that the Eagles will win Wednesday’s game, then urged football fans to keep believing in the team and wait for the players to deliver victory, which he hinted will not come easily.
He submitted, “I have the belief and confidence that we are going to win convincingly against Morocco. I believe we will win; with what we have seen so far.
“The presence of young generation players in our team, and an attack-minded coach, shows we have a better squad that can win this cup.
“We lost the slot for the World Cup, but our players are now ready to make our country proud again. Nigerians should have patience and just believe in our darling Super Eagles.”
