Adi Turns Attention On MLS’ March 2 Kick-off

FC Cincinnati of USA striker, Fanendo Adi is excitedly looking forward to the start of Major League Soccer (MLS) action on March 2nd, as it would accord him the privilege of resuming action in the American top-flight.

 

Sports247.ng gathered that the former Super Eagles invitee is excited that Cincinnati are back in the MLS and the expansion side, for which he lined out in the lower division last season, are already planning very well for the season, with high hopes of doing better in the upper echelon.

 

The 28-year-old Adi, who joined Cincinnati outfit Portland Timbers in July, added that his return to MLS is a great feeling and believes it will turn out to be an amazing experience with the squad.

 

After their first team training for pre-season friendlies, Adi, who scored three goals in 11 appearances for Cincinnati in the USL Championship, is holding high unto hope that the expansion franchise will do well.

While revealing his personal delight to be back in MLS, where he scored 56 goals during his four-year stint with Timbers, pointed out that all his teammates are also beaming with joy.

Adi said: “I’m excited to be back in MLS, have new teammates and see guys that are going to work towards a six-week time for the first game.

“It’s amazing. Everyone is excited to get to know their new mates and get to know the coach’s idea of getting into pre-season.

“It’s just exciting to be back in MLS and I’m ready to be back with this group of players. We’re happy to be back.”
