Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has provided an encouraging update from the team’s camp in Polokwane, assuring fans that morale is high and the players are not feeling any pressure ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifiers.
Adeleye, one of three goalkeepers currently in camp alongside Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie, revealed that the atmosphere in camp is relaxed but focused. “Everyone is in good spirits. We know what’s at stake, but there’s no panic — we’re ready to fight for maximum points,” he said.

He emphasized that the players are fully aware of the importance of the two upcoming matches against Lesotho and Benin Republic. “We’ve talked about it as a team. We just have to stay calm, play our football, and get the job done,” he added.
The Hapoel Jerusalem shot-stopper also called on Nigerians to continue to rally behind the team, saying fan support remains a huge motivation. “When Nigerians believe in us, it gives us extra strength. We’ll give our best to make the country proud,” he said.
The Super Eagles’ first training session in Polokwane was held under floodlights, with 17 players in attendance as the countdown to matchday continues.
