Adeboye Celebrates 60th Birthday with Charity Outreach, Cultural Performances at Modupe Cole Orphanage

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye, celebrated his 60th birthday with a heartfelt humanitarian outreach to the Modupe Cole Orphanage Home in Akoka, Lagos, turning the milestone into a memorable moment of generosity, culture, and joy for the children.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) visit took place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, where Adeboye, accompanied by members of his team, spent quality time with the children, sharing words of encouragement and presenting several support items aimed at improving the welfare of the home.

The children welcomed the celebrant and his team with excitement and gratitude. In appreciation, they organized colorful cultural displays and performances, entertaining their guests with traditional dances and songs that created a lively atmosphere across the orphanage.

The celebration quickly turned into a joyful gathering as the children danced alongside Adeboye and members of his team, filling the venue with laughter, music, and celebration. The children also offered heartfelt prayers for the SSA, wishing him long life, good health, and continued success in his service to the nation.

Items donated during the outreach included food supplies, toiletries, a television set, fans, and other electronic appliances, all aimed at improving the living conditions of the children at the home.

Speaking during the visit, Adeboye said the happiness of the children made the celebration even more meaningful.
“Seeing the smiles on the faces of these children means so much to me. They were very happy to see us, and I am glad we could bring them gifts and food items, including a television, fans,

electronics, and toiletries to support their home. This is something I will always continue to do because giving back to society, especially to children, is what truly makes me happy,” Adeboye said.

Organisers said the outreach reflects Adeboye’s long-standing commitment to giving back to society, particularly to vulnerable children and underserved communities.

Over the years, the sports administrator has built a strong reputation for promoting community development, youth empowerment, and grassroots sports initiatives, values that continue to shape his work in public service.

Friends, associates, sports stakeholders, and well-wishers who joined the visit described the celebration as a meaningful way to mark the milestone birthday, noting that Adeboye’s decision to celebrate with the children underscores his belief that true leadership is measured by the positive impact made in people’s lives, especially at the grassroots level.

The outreach ultimately became more than a birthday celebration—it was a powerful display of kindness, compassion, culture, and shared humanity.
