Kano State–born midfielder Adam Mukhtar has been rewarded for an impressive breakthrough campaign in Norway after being officially named Young Player of the Season by Odds Ballklubb.

The energetic box-to-box midfielder shone throughout the 2025 OBOS-ligaen season, making a strong impression in his debut year with the club.
Following his move from Sporting Lagos, Mukhtar quickly adapted to life in Norwegian football, earning plaudits for his tireless work rate, tactical discipline, and remarkable consistency in the middle of the park.
His performances played a key role in stabilising Odd’s midfield, with the young Nigerian regularly standing out as one of the team’s most reliable performers despite it being his first season in Europe.
Now back in Norway, Mukhtar has returned to pre-season training with renewed confidence and determination.
The midfielder is fully focused on building on last season’s success as he prepares for the start of the 2026 OBOS-ligaen campaign, scheduled to kick off on 6 April 2026.
