Abu Azzez Eyes New Beach Soccer Goals Record

Nigerian beach soccer star, Abu Azeez has declared that he aims to set a new goals scoring record at this year’s continental championship and help the Super Sand Eagles clinch the trophy.

Azeez, who top scored at the Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations five years ago in Morocco, says he is still fit like a fiddle and declared in an interview with sports247.ng that he can do better at Egypt 2018.

The veteran player said he hopes to surpass his feat of 2013 at this year’s edition in Egypt.

Azeez stated: “I was happy to emerge the top scorer in Morocco five years ago, when I scored 12 goals and Nigeria finished fourth.

“This time around, my personal target for the forthcoming tournament in Egypt is to score more.

“Not only to be the highest goals scorer, but for Nigeria to win the cup this time. It is a team effort and I know we can all get it done.”
