Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC have commenced a two-week midseason break following the conclusion of the first stanza of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The Ilorin-based side wrapped up the opening round of fixtures in fourth position on the Conference C standings, recording nine points from seven matches.

Their tally came from three wins and four defeats, keeping the club within touching distance of the promotion places.
At a management meeting held on Tuesday, December 22, 2025, the club’s hierarchy reviewed the team’s first-round performance and charged the technical crew, led by Head Coach Yusuf Salihu, to intensify preparations ahead of the second stanza of the campaign.
Management stressed the need for improved consistency and results as the club remains firmly committed to its promotion ambition.
As part of plans for the second half of the season, ABS Ilorin FC will resume training on January 13, 2026, ahead of the league’s restart.
The management also reassured supporters of its unwavering commitment to providing the necessary support to ensure the club achieves its set objectives.
