Nigeria’s Abiodun Toheeb delivered a standout performance for FK Qarabağ U19 on Wednesday, even as the Azerbaijani side fell 2–0 to Napoli U19 in their UEFA Youth League encounter.
The young forward, who has grown into an important figure for Qarabağ’s youth setup, was one of the brightest sparks for the Atlılar despite the setback in Italy.

Leading the line with confidence, Abiodun worked relentlessly in the attacking third, constantly threatening Napoli’s defence as he pushed for his first goal of the campaign.
His movement, pace, and persistence caused problems for the Italians throughout the game, and although the breakthrough didn’t come, his performance once again highlighted why he remains one of the most promising emerging talents in the squad.
While it ultimately wasn’t his day in front of goal, there is a growing sense around the team that Abiodun’s moment is imminent. With his work ethic, hunger, and consistent improvement, it appears only a matter of time before he opens his UEFA Youth League account.
