AAG Volleyball Qualifiers: Nigeria outclass Niger, set for Ivory Coast clash

Nigeria’s senior Men volleyball team have started their campaign at the All Africa Games Zone 3 qualifiers on an impressive note – beating Niger Republic 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-20) in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

 

Nigeria coach Japhet Nuhu hailed the players for putting up a top notch performance against Niger and stated that the team is focused on winning their two remaining games.

“We know what is at stake, the players cannot afford to disappoint the volleyball family and Nigerians.”

The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod also praised the players for overcoming their first test.

“I congratulate you for beating Niger Republic, this is the first test out of three,” he said

Nigeria’s next game in the qualifiers is on Monday against hosts, Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile, the 12th African Games will hold in Rabat, Morocco from August 19 to 31, 2019 with 53 countries participating.
