Reigning Nigeria’s domestic league champions Enyimba Football Club Aba escaped with a point at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna in a match day 6 encounter against Niger Tornadoes.

The Ikon Allah Boys dropped their first home points, no thanks to missed scoring chances, especially in the first half of the encounter.
Hamza Abdulazeez Abara’s wards were presented with numerous begging chances but failed to utilize them, Musa Najere was set free early in the game by Bashir Usman when the striker came face to face with goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke who made himself big in the post and parried the ball out of danger.
Another chance appeared at the half-hour mark when the two teams were involved in a goal-mouth scramble inside the visitor’s area but Ojo in goal for Enyimba made another point-blank save to deny Musa Najere.
Niger Tornadoes introduced rave of the moment Yahuza Bala on resumption into the second half, all in a bid to get the much-needed goal, the striker had his chances but was equally not lucky on the day, especially in the closing stages as he had his efforts either saved by the goalkeeper or played high.
The draw means Tornadoes’ hundred percent home record has ended.

“It was a bad day for us, we planned for the game but unfortunately our plans didn’t work, this is one of those things in football, nevertheless, we have a match by the weekend we will push to equally get something out of the game.
ON WHY HIS PLAYERS FAILED TO HIT THE GEAR:
“We have so many young players in the team who are trying to adapt to our style of play and another factor that affected us was fatigue; we took off from Lagos around 4 am on Monday and arrived in Kaduna at 10:30 pm, the stress took a toll on the players, but overall I’ll give kudos to them for a job well done, at least we didn’t concede a goal neither did we lost.”
” We are going to Ibadan this weekend and I simply believe we are going to get something out of the game, we will keep pushing.”
