NPFL: Management of Rangers International FC Pays Familiarization Visit To Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development

Permanent Secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, received in his office, the Management of Nigeria Premier Football League side, Rangers International FC of Enugu.

The August visitors were led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Barr. Amobi Ezeaku.

At a brief setting on Wednesday in Lafia, the Permanent appreciated the delegation for the visit, adding that it was further proof of the symbiotic relationship that exists between the duo, and promised to strengthen the bond by creating an enabling environment for the attainment of mutually beneficial interests.

He described Rangers as a great football brand that has etched its name in the Nigerian elite league having won the league title a record seven times.

Danladi also congratulated Barr. Amobi on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Club by the Enugu State Government, asserted that it was a deserved development as the CEO is a critical stakeholder in global football with multiple achievements.

He wished Rangers and the Club’s Management well in the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League Season and a place in Continental Football.

Speaking earlier, Rangers’ CEO, Barr. Amobi told Danladi that the visit was to felicitate him on his appointment as Permanent Secretary by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and to notify him of their presence in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital, for a league match against hosts, Lobi Stars FC, on Thursday at the Lafia City Stadium.

Amobi who was the former Team Manager of Rangers explained that he took many positives from the Permanent Secretary while he was Chairman of Nasarawa United FC and NPFL Club Owners’ Association, disclosing that the Permanent Secretary is a force to reckon with in Nigerian football administration.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of the Rangers’ replica jersey to the Permanent Secretary by the CEO, Barr. Amobi Ezeaku.

The rescheduled mid-week match between Lobi Stars Versus Rangers International is slated for Thursday, 2nd November, 2023, by 4 p.m.
