The election process of the Kwara State Football Association which ushered in a new executive for the Football body has been described as the best process so far in Nigeria.

Speaking in Kaiama local government area of Kwara state, the venue of the election, the Executive Secretary of the Club Owners Association of Nigeria Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka said the Emmanuel Obafemi-led electoral Committee did an excellent job worthy of emulation by other state Football Associations in Nigeria.
Chukwuemeka who is also the Director of Football ABS FC was represented by the club’s Welfare officer Mr Joseph Igiri.
He said from the composition of the electoral committee and the caliber of high-profile individuals with pedigree therein, the outcome was indeed a reflection of the sincerity and transparency in the discharge of their duties.
He commended the newly re-elected executive of Kwara FA to focus on the consolidation of its past achievements as well as building a sustainable Football structure that supports the growth and development of football in the state.
Malam Idris Abdullahi Musa Thuraya was re-elected in the election adjudged to be free and fair and supervised by the NFF
