Utility Sports Football Club would leave Lagos for Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State on 17,January, 2023 to intensify their preparations ahead of future high profile football competitions in the state.
The pre season training tour serves as a preparatory ground for the club to ascertain its players who are ready for the club future engagements.
In a chat with sports 247.ng, president of the team, Abiodun Lawal said arrangements have been concluded to hit Ijebu-Ode with 30 players and five officials noted that the club would engage in series of friendly matches as part of the team’s preparation for the future tournaments.
“Presently we are planning for a pre season tour of Ijebu-Ode and we are going to play tough teams to enable the coaching crew to assess the players fitness.Secondly the pre season would also help us to prepare for the future competitions in the state,”he said.
Lawal explained further that the team are well prepared for the pre season tour and noted that any player play below expectations would be shown the exit door.
He however disclosed that the pre season is organised for the both old and new players to assess themselves but insisted that any player play below expectations would be sent parking.
“The coaching crew don’t joke with this pre season tour and i have done everything within my capacity to ensure that our team have a successful tour.It is now left for the players to prove themselves but any player fails to meet club demand would be asked to go,”he concluded.
