The anticipated general election of the Island Allstars Sports Club saw Mr Ikenna Maduagwu emerge as the President of the club for the next three years, defeating Mr Haliru Momodu with 99 votes to 88 votes.
“It was an election that was hard fought and well won,” Mr Ikenna told Sports247.
“I want to hand over this victory to the Island Allstars Sports Club, we’ll do our best to ensure that all of the things this club stands for will be kept,” he added.
He also stated that he would love to work with his compatriot who went against him for the presidential post as a family to move the club forward.
“I’ve extended the hand of fellowship. I even already reinstated him back into the office of the BOT which he resigned before the election and we’re going to work together as a family and group,” he concluded.
