NPFL 2020/21: I’m Open Minded For The Season, In-Form Rangers’ Striker, Nnaji Declares

Netting three times in 5 games for your new club is not an easy task in the NPFL but then, Rangers International new boy, Christian Nnaji has achieved this feat already.

The in-form striker has won the hearts of many Rangers International fans with the trickery, pace and goal-scoring ability he has displayed in the few times Salisu Yusuf has given him the chance to play.

Despite scoring the goals and winning the fan’s heart, the young energetic striker says he has not set any target for himself this season.

Speaking exclusively to Sports247 after helping his team with a lone goal win over Kwara United on Sunday, the former FC Ifeanyi Ubah player said “I’m open-minded to whatever happens till the end of the season, we will just be going.”

On what has made him the fan’s favorite so far, Rangers joint highest goal scorer for this season said “it’s just happening, a result of hard work.”

When quizzed about the young striker by Sports247, head coach Salisu Yusuf said he is impressed.

“Nnaji is getting there. I’m impressed by him, he’s growing into the techniques and he’s really improving.”

Despite having last season’s highest goal scorer, Israel Abia, and Femi Ajayi ahead of him, Nnaji is the joint highest goal scorer of the club alongside Israel Abia with three goals apiece.
