MVP of match week 8 of the Creative Championship League encounter between Igamnu Fc and Emmydinho Fc, Adebayor Lateef Abiodun has stated that “Poor Start” has been the major problem for his team at the ongoing Creative Championship League.
Igamnu Fc on Saturday against Emmydinho Fc, fell behind once again when Emmydinho Fc raced to a two goal lead through goals from Olateju and Okwuka, as early as the 10th and 20th minutes respectively in the encounter. But goals from David and Adebayor Lateef in quick succession (26th minute and 28th minute respectively) restored parity in the match and ensured that the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Speaking with Sports 247, after being declared the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the match, Lateef Adebayor expressed his gratitude and happiness for winning the MVP award and scoring a goal after being on a goal drought for the past 7 matches for his team. He also acknowledged his team’s poor start to games, stating that it was a huge problem which has really affected them in most games played in the league so far.
“I am really happy for winning this MVP award. Even though I didn’t perform much in the first half, but God helped me do better as the game proceeded, and I thank God for scoring as well, because I haven’t scored a goal since 7 matches and I thank God I scored today, which makes me very delighted”.
“For my team, poor start to games has always been our problem. We don’t usually start our games well and most of our opponents uses that against us. We use to perform late in most encounters. When we enter games, we always conceed early and chase the game, which is our major problem as a team and we will try to work on it before our next game”, he admitted.
Lateef Adebayor Abiodun urged his fans and supporters of Iganmu Fc to continue their love and support for him and his clubside, as he promises to put more efforts to his game, score more goals, win more MVP Awards and help his team win matches as the Creative Championship League winds down to a conclusion.
