Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has pledged to continue developing his game at Venezia, insisting that he remains committed to learning and improving despite earning praise from head coach Davide Nicola.
The Nigerian forward, who scored the winning goal in Venezia’s 1-0 victory over Napoli, believes his progress depends on embracing the demands of the coaching staff and contributing to the team’s overall performance.
“I have a lot to learn. I have a lot of room to grow,” Adams said.
“I think the coach is also here to help me with whatever I need. The team is helping me also.”
Adams stressed that his responsibilities extend beyond scoring goals, explaining that he is prepared to perform any role required to help Venezia secure results.
“But I’m a very team player. Whatever the coach wants from me, defensive, offensive, runs, duels, this is what I have to do for the team,” he stated.
The striker’s willingness to contribute in different phases of play reflects his determination to become a more complete forward in Italian football.
Adams also welcomed the opportunity to work under Nicola, whose guidance he believes will help him improve aspects of his game beyond his traditional attacking responsibilities.
“There is no limit to how much I can grow,” he declared.
“For me, Venezia is a project that helps me to understand other parts of my game, and that is what I’m focused on.”
His match-winning contribution against Napoli underlined his value to Venezia, but the Nigerian international insists that personal development and collective success remain his priorities.
With the Italian league campaign continuing, Adams will be hoping to build on his decisive performance and establish greater consistency in front of goal.
For the Super Eagles, his development provides another encouraging option in attack as Nigeria prepare for future international assignments.
Adams believes his time at Venezia offers the ideal environment to expand his abilities, with the striker determined to repay the confidence of his coach and teammates through hard work and improved performances.
