Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has delivered a bold statement about his mentality and goalscoring ability, insisting that his fearless approach to football is one of the qualities that places him among the world’s leading strikers.
Sports247 reports that the Galatasaray forward made the remarks following another impressive UEFA Champions League performance against his former club, Lille, where he scored and was named Man of the Match.
Osimhen’s latest display reinforced his reputation as a decisive attacking presence on the European stage.
Speaking about the mentality that has shaped his career, the Nigerian international emphasised his determination to confront challenges without fear.
“I come from a place where I’m not afraid. I don’t fear difficulties,” Osimhen declared.
The statement reflects the confidence and resilience that have become defining features of his footballing journey. Having established himself in European football through spells with Lille, Napoli and Galatasaray, Osimhen has continued to demonstrate his ability to perform under pressure.
The Nigerian forward also expressed strong confidence in his technical qualities and attacking instincts.
“No one can tell me how to sprint, how to play, how to score goals — I already do these things, and that’s why I’m one of the world’s best strikers,” he said.
His remarks underline the self-belief that drives his performances and his determination to maintain a place among football’s elite forwards.
Osimhen’s comments followed an outstanding performance against Lille in the Champions League. The Nigerian striker scored in the 61st minute to extend Galatasaray’s advantage, registering his first goal of the competition this season.
Despite finding the net against his former employers, Osimhen chose not to celebrate, demonstrating respect for the French club where he previously played. His overall contribution earned him the Man of the Match award.
The performance provided another memorable chapter in his European career and highlighted his importance to Galatasaray’s attacking ambitions.
For Osimhen, confidence is not simply about making bold declarations. His latest Champions League performance offered another opportunity to demonstrate the qualities behind his belief that he belongs among the world’s best strikers.
