NVBF Vice-president Tunde Omisore Hails International Federation Qualifications For Four Nigerian Volleyball Coaches

The vice-president of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Prince Tunde Omisore has expressed sheer delight with qualifications gained by four of the country’s coaches from the sport’s international body.

Sports247 reports that Omisore exuded excitement, accolades and appreciation, while disclosing that four of Nigeria’s home-based coaches have earned Level 2 qualifications from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

The newly recognised quartet is led by senior women’s national team coach, Elishama Elam, much to the delight of Omisore, who revealed that they all successfully completed the FIVB examinations this past Sunday in Gambia.

Elam was joined by men’s national team coach, Taiwo Oladipupo, along with Ayokunnu Aboderin and Dauda Saje, players’ representative on the NVBF’s board, who distinguished himself by recording overall highest score among all the candidates.

Omisore asserted that the development is a significant addition to Nigeria’s pool of qualified volleyball coaches and a boost to the country’s efforts to strengthen all levels of preparations for the 2027 African Games in Egypt.

He added in a media statement, “The certification aligns with the federation’s objective of building a competent technical team for the national sides. The newly qualified coaches will support our technical adviser; Ryan Masajedi in his work with the national teams ahead of the continental competition.

“Improving the quality of coaching personnel remains a priority for us in the volleyball federation, particularly as we work towards the next edition of the African Games. Both the women’s and men’s national teams stand to benefit from the additional technical expertise.”

Sports247 reports further that the NVBF will hope all four coaches translate their newly acquired status and knowledge into improved technical efforts, development of players and better performances by the country’s teams at Egypt 2027.
