Showtime Flag Football League is preparing for another major event this Sunday, with the 5v5 Co-ed Cup scheduled for October 11 at Showtime Arena in Lekki, Lagos.
The event follows a dramatic Week 3 of the Showtime Bowl Series XV, where teams delivered emphatic victories and gave supporters plenty to look forward to as the season progresses.

Lagos Knights made a statement with a 47–19 win over Lagos Rebels, while Abia Warriors continued their impressive run by defeating Delta Braves 54–13. Lagos Green Backs also enjoyed a memorable outing, shutting out Rivers Alphas 53–0.
Those results have added to the early storylines of the season, but attention now shifts from the regular-season standings to the upcoming Co-ed Cup.
Sports247 reports that the league’s published calendar places the 5v5 competition on October 11, before regular-season Game Week 4 takes place on October 18.
The schedule gives the league another opportunity to keep players and supporters engaged between regular-season rounds. It also highlights the variety of events available within the Showtime programme, as the league continues its campaign towards the Showtime Bowl XV championship in 2027.
For the teams, the immediate task will be to prepare for the event and make the most of the opportunity to compete. For fans, the Cup provides another reason to visit Showtime Arena and follow the action in person.
However, the specific teams and matchups for Sunday’s Co-ed Cup still need confirmation from the organizers before they can be included in a match-by-match preview.
After the Cup, attention will return to the regular season on October 18, when the race for stronger positions in the competition continues.
With Season XV still in its early stages, there is plenty of time for teams to build momentum, recover from difficult results and establish themselves as contenders.
