Owen Emeka Might Opt For Transfer To AC Milan Instead Of Taking Real Madrid’s Offer

Speculation is rising high in Spain that Granada’s Nigerian-born teenager, Owen ‘Emeka’ Mira Chukwuemeka might prefer making a move across the border into AC Milan of Italy, rather than stay put in Iberia by accepting an offer from Real Madrid, Sports247 reports.

Although many observers believe the offer from Madrid is best for the 17-year-old lad, considering his tender age and ongoing development in Spain, Emeka is eager to feel the pulse of variety in Italy, especially as Milan appear more determined to get him.

While Madrid are said to be informally tracking the teenager, Milan look better placed with a proposal that will see them allow him grow through their youth ranks in order to help him develop slowly into a potential first-team player and star of the future.

A report by Italian publication, La Gazzetta dello Sport disclosed, “A Milan scout travelled to Spain during the Rossoneri’s 2-2 draw with Lazio to watch Granada face Albacete. The initial target was Dylan Rodriguez.

“He remained on the bench, thereby allowing Emeka to attract attention instead. The 17-year-old right-winger scored during the match, registering his first goal of the Spanish second-division campaign.

“His efforts impressed Milan’s representative and The Rossoneri are now said to be very interested in Emeka. They intend to continue monitoring his development, although negotiations have yet to begin.”

Sports247 gathered further that the Spainish under-17 international, who was born in Málaga, Andalusia to a Spanish father and Nigerian mother, began his career with local side, Atlético Benamiel CF, from where he moved to CD Tiro Pichón and then CD 26 de Febrero.

He joined Granada’s youth side in 2024 and made his senior debut with the second divission club’s reserves on September 7th, 2025 as a half-time substitute in a 1-1 home draw with Martos CD during a Tercera Federación fixture.

The youngster, who plays as a winger for Granada in Spain’s Segunda División, was invited to the Iberian nation’s under-17 national team on April 21st, 2026 for two international cadet friendly matches against Ukraine.
