Anthony Joshua ‘Wins Round One’ With £240m Net Worth Above Fury’s £162m Value

Nigerian-born former two-time world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Olaseni Olwuafemi Joshua has ‘won round one’ of his upcoming epic battle with British rival, Tyson Fury, as his net worth is reportedly of a greater value than that of his foe.

Sports247 gathered that, while ‘AJ’ is valued at a princely £240m, ‘The Gypsy King’ has a net worth of just £162m, which means the Nigerian-born London 2012 Olympic Games gold medalist leads the tussle between both fighters on the money level.

Nigerian boxcing fans would love to see this revelation as a symbolic and psychological advantage for Joshua heading into his long-awaited ‘Battle of Brits’ with Fury on Novermber 11/12 in Cardiff, Wales, where both fighters will share £150m equally.

It means Joshua will smile to the bank with at least £75m – win or lose – thereby adding to his financial basse that is already well-stocked with lots of commercial ventures and deals sourced through his personal business outfit, 258 Investments.

With Fury not known to have engaged in similar financial dealings and seemingly prefering a modest, private life, ‘The Gypsy King’ is alteady ranking behind Joshua in bragging rights heading into their epic battle billed to finally come up in November.

A report by UK’s SunSport revealed in part, “On December 11, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will fight at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Up for grabs is a staggering £150m purse that’ll add to these legends’ wealth.

“According to the Sunday Times Rich List, AJ, 36, is believed to have a net worth of £240 million, while Fury’s bank balance is said to sit at the £162 million mark.

“Joshua is believed to own a £200 million property portfolio. Most recently, he added a £1.2 million penthouse apartment in Oman, ahead of his bout with Jake Paul.

“Through his company, 258 Investments, he has also acquired two residential homes in North London, and is said to own three homes in his native Watford, worth a combined £1.5m.

“Joshua also bought a £500,000 penthouse flat for his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Osbourne, the mother of his son Joseph, in Finchley. Fury doesn’t own multiple homes, but does live privately in a lavish £8m property in the Isle of Man.”
