Nigerian-born bodybuilder Samson Dauda finished second in the Men’s Open division at the 2026 Mr Olympia in Las Vegas, United States.
Nick Walker claimed his first Mr Olympia title after finishing with 18 points, while Dauda followed with 20 points. Derek Lunsford placed third with 24 points, according to the official scorecard.

The competition was held from September 24 to 27, with the Men’s Open final taking place at the Orleans Arena on Saturday, September 26.
Walker led after Friday’s prejudging with eight points, while Dauda had 15. In the finals, Dauda scored five points compared to Walker’s 10.
Under the Mr Olympia scoring system, the lower combined score determines the winner, giving Walker the title ahead of Dauda.
Dauda confirmed his second-place finish in an Instagram post on Sunday.
The former champion also described his physique as the best version of himself he had presented on the Mr Olympia stage
He also thanked his team for their support, saying, “This medal may be around my neck, but it belongs to all of us.”
The top five in the Men’s Open division were Walker, Dauda, Lunsford, Andrew Jacked and Tonio Burton.
Dauda entered the competition after winning the 2026 Europa Pro on September 13.
His second-place finish marks a return to the Mr Olympia podium after he finished fourth in 2025. He won the title in 2024, representing the United Kingdom in the official results.
