Under-17 national team, Golden Eaglets’ former captain, Samson Tijani, has been described as a dynamic player who will add creative quality to the midfield of his new club, FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova of Slovakia.
Sports247 reports that this assertion was provided by the club’s general manager, Miroslav Poliacek, while welcoming the rising star on loan from Dukla Prague of the Czech Republic.
Poliacek added that he looks forward to seeing Tijani play a key role in the squad during his time with them this season, after which the deal could be extended into a full contract.
He enthused further that Tijani arrives with a strong pedigree that began when he captained Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil and he has since become a full-fledged senior international with the Super Eagles.
While noting that the midfielder’s move can be extended into a two-year contract, Poliacek acknowledged the rare qualities of Tijsni, who earlier joined Dukla as a free agent in June 2025 from Red Bull Salzburg of Austria.
The 23-year-old battler also arrives with huge stats from his appearances in the Czech top-flight league, much to the admiration of Poliacek, who welcomed the lad as a delightful signing.
Poliacek posited: “He is a player of ideal football age and represents a different typology than what we have had in the squad so far. He is a creative and dynamic midfielder.
“He will bring the necessary impulse and quality to the midfield. I believe that he will fully show his qualities on the pitch and help the team. I wish him the best of luck with us.”
