Christiana Amaka Paul Targets Strong Performance In CGC Volleyball Premier League’s Second Phase

Highly promising spiker, Christiana Amaka Paul is targeting a strong outing in the second phase of the 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League, following her sterling performance at this year’s continental championship in Nairobi, Kenya.

Sports247 reports that Paul has been hugely inspired to aim for better statistics on the home front tgis season, after emeeging as the fourth top scorer at the African Senior Women’s Volleyball Nations Championship that ended on Friday.

She soared to fourth in the goals ranking after scoring 94 times, including 76 successful attacks, as Nigeria finished ninth, following which the formidable opposite hitter expressed appreciation to the crew led by Coach Elishama Elam and her teammates.

While thanking them all for their support, Paul acknowledged further that their encouragement played a very important role in her sterling performances during the championship, where Nigeria’s captain, Ijeoma Ukpabi ranked eighth with 86 goals and 75 successful attacks.

“I want to sincerely thank our coach, Elishama Elam, and the entire coaching crew for their support, guidance and belief in me throughout the tournament. I also appreciate my teammates and everyone who supported us.

“Their encouragement gave me the confidence to keep fighting and giving my best for Nigeria. I will not forget to appreciate the Kenyans for their love and support, too. These statistics encouraged me to give my best.

“(They will also help me to) improve in my performance when we return to Nigeria for the second phase of the 2026 league,” said Paul, who was also joined in the rankings by Maryam Ibrahim as 10th-best scorer with 74 goals, including 68 successful attacks.
