Super Eagles forward Femi Azeez has been named in the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Championship Team of the Year following an impressive 2025/26 campaign with Millwall.
Sports247 reports that Azeez enjoyed a productive season in the English second tier, scoring 11 league goals and providing eight assists in 35 Championship appearances. His consistent performances and attacking contributions earned him recognition among the division’s leading players.
The Nigerian forward’s outstanding club form also earned him his first senior call-up to the Super Eagles under head coach Eric Chelle.
Azeez marked his international debut in spectacular fashion, scoring twice for Nigeria against Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup. His immediate impact further underlined the quality of his performances during the campaign and strengthened his growing reputation on the international stage.
