The FEMMCO 01 International Football Championship August Camping 2026 came to a thrilling conclusion on Thursday, August 20, with the Grande Finale at Nawarudeen Playing Ground, Olose, producing three champions across the U10, U13 and U17 categories.
Sports247 reports that the finale opened with a novelty match between Sharp Queens and Shola FC. The entertaining encounter ended 1-1 in regulation time before Shola FC U13 prevailed 5-4 on penalties to claim victory in the curtain-raiser.
In the U10 final, Disciple FA produced a major upset by defeating previously undefeated Authority Football Academy 1-0. Shehu Abdullah scored the decisive goal in the eighth minute to secure the title for Disciple FA.
Abdullah’s goal also took his tournament tally to eight in the U10 category, underlining his influence throughout the competition. Authority FA, who had remained unbeaten before the final, were unable to complete their campaign with the championship trophy.
The U13 final was equally tight, with Sharp Striker FA edging Ultimate Football Club 1-0. Michael scored the only goal of the contest to hand Sharp Striker the championship after a closely fought encounter.
The U17 final provided another meeting between familiar opponents, as Rakel Football Academy faced their group-stage rivals. Rakel had already defeated the same opposition 2-0 during the group phase and repeated the feat in the final, recording another 2-0 victory to become U17 champions.
Rakel’s campaign was particularly impressive from an attacking and defensive standpoint. Across seven matches, the academy scored 19 goals while conceding only three, finishing the competition with a strong record.
The August Camping programme builds on the success of the FEMMCO championship held in April. Fortune Football Academy were eventually awarded the U10 title after Young Gunners’ final victory was overturned following the use of an ineligible player.
Sharp Striker Football Academy claimed the April U13 crown after defeating Fortune FA, while Ultimate FC won the U15 category after overcoming Sharp Striker FA. Royaltoms Queens completed the April honours by defeating Sharp Queens in the female category.
With the August edition now concluded, FEMMCO 01 International has once again provided a competitive platform for young footballers to showcase their talent, gain valuable experience and compete for major honours across multiple age groups.
