C2E Sports Academy and Obosa Queens FA have secured promotion to the 2027 NWFL Championship after impressive campaigns in the NWFL Nationwide 2026, with both clubs now set to battle for the ultimate prize in the competition’s final.

Sports247 reports that the achievement represents a major milestone for both teams, who have navigated a highly competitive Nationwide campaign to earn their places among Nigeria’s next tier of elite women’s football.
Aba-based C2E Sports Academy capped a remarkable campaign by securing promotion, earning the opportunity to compete in the 2027 NWFL Championship. The club’s progress marks another significant step in its development and provides a platform to test itself against some of the country’s established women’s football sides.
Obosa Queens FA, meanwhile, have also completed their promotion mission following an outstanding campaign. The ambitious Lagos-based outfit will now join C2E Sports Academy in the 2027 NWFL Championship as they continue their quest to establish themselves among Nigeria’s leading women’s football clubs.
Their promotion comes after Obosa Queens produced a dramatic comeback in the semi-final, recovering from a two-goal deficit to defeat Onimarg FC 4-2 at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba.
The result booked Obosa Queens’ place in the NWFL Nationwide 2026 final and secured their promotion to the Championship.
C2E Sports Academy also earned their final ticket and promotion after a 4-2 comeback victory against Kwara United Queens, setting up an exciting championship decider between the two newly promoted sides.
The final will therefore carry additional significance, with both clubs already guaranteed a place in the 2027 NWFL Championship but determined to finish their Nationwide campaign by lifting the trophy.
