A dress rehearsal of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final is set to take place this Sunday afternoon at Ikotun Community Primary School, Lagos, where a mock version of the Mundial’s last match will hold six hours before ‘the real event.’
Sports247 gathered that, while Argentina and Spain will lock horns in New York, USA from 8pm for the ‘real’ FIFA World Cup’s final, the last game for Ikotun’s ‘Mock Mundial’ will commence at 2pm.

Incidentally, ‘Spain’ are also in the final of the Mock Mundial at Ikotun, but they will tango ‘Brazil’ in this innovative version of what the organiser symbolically tagged ‘Super World Cup.’
To add spice to his version of the World Cup, organiser of the competition, Coach Idris Adewale Oseni (aka Super) told Sports247 that two finals will take place on the same day, and they will both be for junior teams, instead of senior squads that will tango in ‘The Big Apple.’
While Sunday’s main game at the ever busy public school located along Abaronje Road (Spain versus Brazil) is for under-17 lads and will be the day’s second fixture, the first clash involves under-10 boys (with Brazil taking on England).
Coach Oseni disclosed furrther, “The name of the competition is Super World Cup. We organised it to make our kids get an experience of what it feels like playing in the World Cup and to keep football fans excited before the big match starts in the night.
“Our own final will take place on the same day with that of FIFA, but we will start at 2pm with the under-10 boys, after which our under-17 game will begin at 4pm.
“Teams in the under-10 category’s final are Super Accurate Football Academy, representing Brazil, versus Sammy Football Academy, who are England.
“For the under-17 boys, we have Sharp Strikers FC representing Spain versus Super Accurate Football Academy, who are playing as Brazil in the two categories.”
Coach Super went on to reel out the names of his colleagues whose teams qualified for the final and further disclosed that the special guest of honour for both matches is a highly-respected community leader and lover of football who is based in Ikenne, Ogun State.
“The coach of Sammy Football Academy is Samuel Haruna, while for Sharp Strikers is Lukmon Adeosun. We are all colleagues, and we will remain friends, despite the rivalry existing among our teams.
“We believe all our boys will play the best of youth football to excite our guests and chairman of the day, who is Elder Larry from Ikenne. Other guests include a fan we normally call ‘Ronaldo’ as well as Alhaji Ojasope and Mr I.K,” Coach Super concluded.
Sports247 reports further that ‘Super Mock World’ provides a consolation for fans of Brazil and England to watch their team in a ‘global final’ at Ikotun, though they both could not make it to the ultimate game at the real Mundial organised by FIFA.
