Super Falcons goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has declared her determination to break into Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, insisting she is ready to compete for the number one shirt.
The Dutch-born shot-stopper acknowledged the quality within the Super Falcons’ goalkeeping department but believes healthy competition will only make the team stronger.
“I’m ready to fight for my place in the Super Falcons and compete for the number one jersey,” Erhabor said.
The goalkeeper admitted that Chiamaka Nnadozie remains the established first choice but stressed that every player must be prepared to seize opportunities when they arise.
According to Erhabor, her focus is on continuing to improve and proving her worth whenever she is called upon.
“I understand the hierarchy in the team, but if I get my opportunity, I’ll do everything possible to show what I can do,” she added.
Erhabor revealed that representing Nigeria at the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations remains one of her biggest ambitions.
She also hopes to contribute to the Super Falcons’ quest to secure qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“My dream is to represent Nigeria at WAFCON and help the team qualify for the next Women’s World Cup,” she stated.
The Super Falcons remain Africa’s most successful women’s national team, and Erhabor is hoping strong performances at club level will earn her a place in the squad as Nigeria prepares to defend its continental crown.
