The technical crew of Sporting Lagos FC is planning to come out with a ‘different approach’ for Wednesday’s decisive game against Doma United of Gombe at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super-4 in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Sports247 reports that the two teams enter this mid-week cracker with three points each and the same scoreline, as they both won their respective opening games 1-0 on Monday.

It means the winner of this encounter will take one step closer to being crowned NNL champions for 2026 and go home with N10m on Friday – with only a draw needed on the last day of the competition.
However, the Lagos-based club’s coach, Buter Jeffrey said the attention for now is only on Wednesday’s game, which has also been tagged a clash of two former top-flight outfits, having both previously been in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) some years back.
Jeffrey admitted it will be a tough fixture against the equally formidable Doma United, hence his desire to come up with a gameplay that will catch The Savannah Tigers by surprise.
“We are not a team with just one game plan or a single approach. So, you should expect us to do something different from our first game.
“We want to rest well before the game and then focus on how we can get a different approach from what we had in the first match,” Coach Jeffrey stated.
Although he stopped short of revealing details of the ‘different approach’ the technical crew will adopt for Wednesday’s match, Jeffrey scolded his players for reducing the tempo in the second half of Monday’s victory over Ranchers Bees of Kaduna.
He submitted, “Overall, for us, I feel we can do a lot better and improve on what we did in the second half of our first game. Basically, we have to keep pressing until the final whistle.
“We also have to keep our fans in mind, because many of them are here, and they want to see us win. We appreciate our fans. All we can do for them is step up our game and play to make them happy.”
